Navigating & Viewing (for authenticated users)

Calendar Portlet -- If you see colored-in days on the calendar, when you move your cursor over them you will see what events fall on those days.

Content Pane -- This is where you will see the actual "stuff".

Editing Tabs -- If you have permission to do so, you will have a set of content creation and editing tabs. Every authenticated user can do this in his or her own folder.

Location -- Just under the navigation tabs, you will see a string of links. These tell you how far down in the site you are and you can click on them to pop back to a specific level.

Login Portlet -- Everything you need to log in, join, or get your password mailed to you.

Navigation Bar -- Shows that you are logged in, provides access to your folder, preferences, etc., and provides a log out link.

Navigation Portlet -- The site is folder-structured. As you dive in, the folders will show you where you are. Clicking on an element here will take you directly to that folder.

Navigation Tabs -- Clicking these brings you to the major locations in the site.

News Portlet -- Shows the latest news items. Click on any for more details.

Recent Items Portlet -- Shows things that have been added or changed since you last logged in.

Scale Text Size -- On each page, in the upper right corner, you will see three "A"s. You can use them to make things bigger or smaller. However, the steps betweent the sizes are kind of large. Most browsers let you adjust the font size and the adjustments should work well on these pages.

Search -- To enter boolean searches, use "AND" and "OR". You can also use "(" and ")" to group things. To search for phrases, enclose them in " ".

Site Info Portlet -- Provides contact information.

Site Logo -- Clicking on the main logo will take you back to the home page.
