We use hdf4 for all MOPITT processors, and already build up all IDL and web tools with our hdf4 files. Considering MOPITT life time, file size, and hdf4 supporting time, we decided to stay at hdf4. If we get demands from users for hdf5, we may just convert our hdf4 files to hdf5 format for them.
But I do try hdf5 for MOPITT Level 2 processor, and got problems for one dimension array, which used to be time unlimited. Other than this, everything seems working great.
