This is a good document. It echoes what I had heard from Peter Vretanos on implementing CS/W – namely that if you want to be interoperable with another CS/W client or compatible with another CS/W server, the developers need to get together on implementation conventions (kinda like the Aura team and HDF). So this is not really a “best practice” document, more a discussion of issues that are good for implementers or OGC to consider.

I’d like to see a transition sentence between the last paragraph on page 1 and the first on page 2 (first and second paragraphs in section 2) to introduce the “ingest” concept. Something along the lines of “The CS/W server builds a catalog of ISO-compliant metadata by ingesting information from the THREDDS catalog.” The rest of it was very clear, I thought.
